  Great hooker and prolific tackler for the Sydney Roosters (Eastern Suburbs) over 14 seasons, an integral part of 3 premiership winning teams (2013, 2018-19). Overcome some off field controversies as a teenager and after a second chance with the club became a mature leader, role model and respected captain. As a Queenslander his origin opportunities were limited as he was in the same era as the great Cameron Smith. Finally got his opportunity playing all three games for QLD in 2020 where they caused a major upset to win the series 2-1. Forced into premature retirement aged 31 several head knocks resulting in repeated concussions, announcing his retirement on 8 April 2021.

  He is considered one of the greatest defenders of all-time and one of the hardest working players ever. He was known for his vast quantities of tackles throughout the years. He was always second in line to play origin behind Cameron Smith but never got his chance until 2020. He only played the 3 origin games throughout the series and was an integral part of their upset win. He was with the Roosters since 2008 and was very significant in his role in their 3 premierships throughout his career (2013, 2018 and 2019). The QLD fans loved him when he finally got the chance to prove himself and the Roosters fans loved him every time he was on the field.
