Biography

Tall fullback, reminiscent in the style (and looks) of Easts’ Russell Fairfax, played in two State of Origin matches in 1983. Gurr spent four seasons at Manly culminating with a win in the reserve grade grand final in 1988. He played for Leeds in 1987-88 and after his retirement, took over as Manly's reserve grade coach under Graham Lowe (1992) and Bob Fulton (1993-94).
